General Scholarship Information ASU Foundation and the Armstrong Family Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the Armstrong Family Foundation Scholarship for the 2008‐2009 academic year. Jim Armstrong is a co‐founder and Chairman of JDA Software Group, Inc., a publicly traded corporation headquartered in Arizona. The Armstrongs established the Armstrong Family Foundation in 1996 as a charitable corporation providing financial grants to non‐profit organizations that relieve human hardship among needy and worthy individuals, families and groups, and supporting the advancement of education. It is the intent of the Foundation that the funding it provides will make a significant difference in the lives of people and will be dedicated toward specific programs, uses or outcomes.

Minimum Enrollment Status: Full-time
Residency: Arizona Residents Only
Need-based: Yes
Grade Level(s): HS Senior Enrolling for Fall
Campus(es): Downtown, Polytechnic, Tempe, West

Additional Eligibility Criteria:
  • Be an incoming freshman, an Arizona resident and an orphan, ward of the court, in foster care or qualified independent student under theage of 21 at the time of first award of this scholarship.
  • Must be admitted to Arizona State University by the application deadline above and enrolled (or plan to enroll) as a full time freshman (24 credit hours per academic year) at ASU during the 2008‐2009 academic year.
  • Complete 40 hours of approved community service per academic year.
