Tuition and Billing Payment Options

Your ASU tuition bill can be paid online, in-person, by check, with financial aid, using a a prepaid or College Savings Plan or with a student account refund. Payments are not accepted over the phone.

Online

To pay online:

  1. Sign in to My ASU.
  2. Select the Finances link at the top of the page.
  3. Click Pay Bill to be transferred to QuikPAY.

You can submit payment up to the amount owed on your account. 

ASU will be soon be performing a system upgrade from Friday, September 24 at 5:00 pm MST until approximately 5:00 pm MST on Saturday, September 25. During this time, online payments will not be accepted however students will not be negatively affected for their inability to make payments. The acceptance of online payments is expected to resume at 5:00 pm MST on Saturday, September 25.

eChecks (Electronic Check Payment)
eChecks are ASU's preferred payment method and are FREE. eChecks are a fast and simple online payment method that can be made from regular U.S. checking and savings accounts. You will need your bank's routing number and your account number, which is available on the bottom of your check or from your financial institution. Read the eCheck FAQs for additional information.

Credit and Debit Cards
ASU does not directly accept credit or debit card payments for tuition and student account charges, but has arranged for a third-party processor to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments online through QuikPAY. The processor charges a 2.4% service fee for credit and debit card payments. Tuition and student account credit and debit card payments are only accepted online and are not accepted by mail, over the phone or in person. Read the credit card FAQs for additional information.

International Payments - Flywire
ASU has partnered with Flywire to give our international students a streamlined and safe method for making international payments to ASU.  With Flywire, you can make payments from banks world-wide with favorable exchange rates, typically in your home currency.  You also have around the clock multilingual customer support via email, LIVE CHAT, and phone calls to assist you with any payment related questions.  Review additional information about Flywire.

NOTE: Please be aware that Flywire is the only vendor authorized by ASU to facilitate international payments.  For safety and security reasons, students should NOT attempt to make international payments through other companies or third party vendors or via direct wire transfers to the university, especially those requesting your MyASU login credentials which should be kept private at all times.

In Person

Personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash payments are only accepted in-person at Cashiering Services on all four campuses.

Check or Prepaid/College Savings Plan

ASU accepts personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, and prepaid or college savings plan (529) payments by mail. Please make the check or money order payable to the order of Arizona State University and include your student ID number on the memo line.  Checks should be mailed to the following address:

Mail checks at least two weeks prior to the applicable tuition due date to avoid automatic enrollment in the ASU payment plan and assessment of the nonrefundable payment plan fee. Notification to Arizona State University of pending payments by the Prepaid or College Savings Plan does not exempt a student from automatic enrollment in the ASU Payment Plan and the assessment of the nonrefundable payment plan fee.

Parking citations are not billed on your student account; however, ASU services will be withheld if citations are not paid. Parking citations may be viewed and paid online at parking.asu.edu. Financial Aid

Financial Aid is posted to your student account and used to pay tuition and other student account charges. For students with accepted financial aid sufficient to cover tuition charges, financial aid will automatically pay tuition charges and no action is necessary. For students with accepted financial aid not sufficient to cover tuition charges need to pay the balance by the payment deadline, after which students with unpaid tuition charges in excess of pending aid will be automatically enrolled in the ASU Payment Plan

Student Account Refunds

Financial aid and tuition refunds are applied to institutional charges first and remaining funds are then refunded to the student. Direct deposit to your bank account is available and the most convenient way to receive student account refunds. To enroll in direct deposit:

  1. Sign in to My ASU.
  2. Select the Finances link at the top of the page.
  3. Select the Direct Deposit Enrollment link that is located within the Tuition Profile Section.

For Student Account Refunds by Mail, review and update Mail Address to ensure delivery. 

  1. Sign in to My ASU.
  2. Select the Profile link at the top of the page.
  3. Select the Addresses link that is located within the Contact Details Section.
