01/01/2021 ASU Scholarship Portal Application Deadlines Begin
Most deadlines for the 2021-2022 year occur between January 1 and March 1. It is important that you review deadlines carefully as they do vary. Scholarship awards are very competitive and if you are selected, you will be notified by the awarding office noted in the scholarship listing. Scholarship recipients are typically notified of selection in April and May.
01/15/2021 2021-2022 FAFSA Filing Priority Date
Submit your FAFSA before ASU's priority filing date of January 15 each year to maximize the amount of aid you receive. Eligible students who apply by this date have a greater chance of receiving need-based aid. The priority filing date is not a deadline, so still submit your FAFSA even if the priority filing date has passed. For more information,  click here.
01/15/2021 2021-2022 Obama Scholars Application Deadline for First-year Students and Current Participants
You must submit your FAFSA and have a complete ASU admissions application on file (application, test scores, transcripts and application fee) in order to be considered for the Obama Scholars Program. This deadline applies to both incoming freshmen and current Obama Scholars. For more information about the Obama Scholars Program, please  click here. Meeting criteria and deadline dates does not guarantee placement in the program as funding is limited and the program will close when available funds have been exhausted.
01/15/2021 2021-2022 ASU College Attainment Grant Program Application Deadline for Current Participants
You must renew your FAFSA by this date in order to be considered for renewal in the ASU College Attainment Grant Program. This deadline applies to current participants. For more information about the ASU College Attainment Grant Program, please  click here. Meeting criteria and deadline dates does not guarantee placement in the program as funding is limited and the program will close when available funds have been exhausted. *There are no exceptions to these dates. The FAFSA must be free of errors to be eligible for consideration. Be sure to apply early in order to resolve any errors or issues before the deadline dates.
06/01/2021 Obama Scholars Must Confirm Their 2021-2022 ASU Housing Plans
You must confirm your ASU housing by June 1 for your housing assignment to be finalized by August 1. If your housing assignment is not finalized by August 1, your budget will be changed to an off campus or at home with parent budget. As a result, your awards will be adjusted (i.e., reduced) accordingly. Visit the University Housing website .
06/28/2021 Begin using Pell Grant Book Deferments for Fall 2021 (sessions A and C)
If you are a Federal Pell Grant recipient who has all outstanding financial aid verification documents submitted and are enrolled in fall 2021 session A or C, you may obtain your textbooks for the semester at the ASU Bookstore and have your book charges billed to your student account. If you are eligible, you will be sent an ASU email each semester with instructions. For more information,  click here.

If you had your scholarship revoked, you can submit an appeal if you experienced significant, extenuating circumstances beyond your control. Please see the scholarship appeal application for a list of scholarships that are eligible for appeal.

08/09/2021 Fall 2021 Disbursements Begin (sessions A and C)
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will begin applying your fall 2021 (sessions A and C) financial aid to your fall charges starting August 9th. All processing of refunds to be completed by August 16th. For more information,click here

10/14/2021 Fall 2021 Consortium Agreement Submission Deadline
An ASU Consortium Agreement allows ASU degree-seeking students to receive certain financial aid awards based on their combined enrolled hours between ASU and another school during the same semester (i.e., enrolled at ASU and a community college during the same term). Please see the Consortion agreement form for requirements, instructions and disbursement details.
10/14/2021 Fall 2021 SAP Review Submission Deadline
Submit your Satisfactory Academic Progress Review form before this date in order to appeal any SAP violation for the fall 2020 semester. Appeals submitted after this date will be considered only for regaining eligibility for the next semester.
11/19/2021 Fall Only Students - Deadline to Submit 2021-22 Student and Parent Reviews
If you are attending ASU for fall 2021 only, you must submit 2021-2022 Student Budget Reviews, Student Income Reduction Reviews and Parent Reviews along with all required documentation by this date in order for a reevaluation of the FAFSA and awards to occur.
11/20/2021 Begin Using Pell Grant Book Deferments for Spring 2022 (sessions A and C)
If you are a Federal Pell Grant recipient who has all outstanding financial aid verification documents submitted and are enrolled in spring 2022 session A or C, you may obtain your textbooks for the semester at the ASU Bookstore and have your book charges billed to your student account. If you are eligible, you will be sent an ASU email each semester with instructions. For more information, click here.
12/11/2021 Last Day to Accept Fall 2021 Loans
At 5 p.m. (Arizona time), any loans that are not accepted will not be eligible for disbursement in the fall term. If you are enrolled in the spring term at least half time and have not used all of your annual loan eligibility for the academic year, you may be eligible to receive Federal Direct Loans in the spring term. Remaining loan eligibility for the spring term is determined by your current grade level, dependency status and cost of attendance.

05/06/2022 Summer 2022 Disbursements Begin (sessions A and C)
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will begin applying your summer 2022 (sessions A and C) financial aid to your spring charges starting May 6th. All processing of refunds to be completed by May 13th. For more information, click here.
05/07/2022 Last Day to Accept Spring 2022 Loans
At 5 p.m. (Arizona time), any loans that are not accepted will not be eligible for disbursement in the spring term. 06/20/2022 Summer 2022 Disbursements (Session B only)
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will begin applying your summer 2022 (session B only) financial aid to your spring charges starting June 20th. All processing of refunds to be completed by June 25th.
06/30/2022 Last Day to Submit the 2021-2022 FAFSA
The federal government will not allow students and parents submit the 2021-2022 FAFSA or make FAFSA corrections after this date.
