Students must be a permanent resident of Alaska, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).
Students must be enrolled in one of the ASU WUE-eligible majors/programs.
Any currently enrolled ASU student who did not meet initial eligibility requirements as a first-time freshman or a transfer student must have a 2.50 ASU cumulative GPA with at least 12 earned ASU credit hours for participation in WUE.
ASU notifies students in writing if they are eligible for and placed into WUE.
For currently enrolled students who are placed in the WUE program, please be aware that your tuition charge will be reduced to reflect your WUE status.
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will review the aid eligibility of all enrolled students who are placed in the WUE program and will make any necessary changes. These changes will reflect the financial aid you would receive as a WUE student.
WUE students are not eligible for ASU nonresident merit-based scholarships or grants. If you were on an ASU nonresident merit scholarship prior to being placed in WUE, your scholarship may be cancelled or reduced to the appropriate WUE scholarship amount.
If your financial aid is changed, you will receive an e-mail advising you to check My ASU for details.
