Why did you choose ASU?
"ASU has a good program in filmmaking practices, plus it's close to home. It made coming to ASU an easy choice. Plus, there's a strong sense of community here at ASU and a great amount of school spirit."
What is the most important financial aid advice you have to offer families?
"Applying for financial aid is not as hard as you think. Apply early, file your tax returns as soon as possible and turn in your verification documents quickly. And then, once you receive your aid, be sure your tuition, housing and books are paid for before you start spending it on anything else."
You must file a FAFSA before each academic year to be considered for financial aid. The FAFSA can be filed beginning January 1 of each year. Submit your FAFSA before ASU's priority filing date of March 1 each year to maximize the amount of aid you receive. Eligible students who apply by this date have a greater chance of receiving need-based aid. We encourage you to submit your FAFSA even if the priority filing date has passed. The exception to this is the Obama Scholars program for Arizona students which has implemented unique deadlines for new participants. See Obama Program for details. The FAFSA is a free application; avoid online scams requesting payment to complete the FAFSA. ASU's Federal School code is 001081.
