Since her senior year in high school, Genevieve knew she would attend a university, because she plans to become a lawyer. She chose ASU to have the experience of a new community culture and felt that ASU was a great fit. One thing she especially likes about ASU is being able to interact directly with her professors during their office hours. She also participates in ASU Club Sports on the tennis team. "Club sports are a great way to play in your sports and have plenty of time to study," she says.

Kimberly received many scholarship offers to schools all around the United States as a National Hispanic Scholar. But ASU came out on top because of the opportunities and experiences that would be available to her through Barrett, the Honors College. "Not only was the campus beautiful and in such a great location, but Barrett would allow me to get the best of both worlds — a small college feel at a large university. It was clear that I would not just be an ASU student, I would be Kimberly.
