Arizona State University offers many generous institutional merit-based scholarships to top Arizona students and encourages application for admission to Arizona State University by February 1, in order to be considered for these awards. Students will be evaluated for this and other university scholarships when they submit their application for admission and will be awarded the highest dollar value scholarship they are eligible for.
Students are encouraged to use the ASU Scholarship Estimator to help determine the amount of merit-based scholarship funding they may be eligible to receive, https://scholarships.asu.edu/estimator.
Please note that students may receive most private donor scholarships in addition to the Regents High Honors Endorsement award.
The award value is 25% of the amount of base resident tuition in the student's first year. The award amount will remain the same throughout the maximum eight semesters of eligibility toward any undergraduate degree program.
For ASU students eligible for the RHHE scholarship, ASU highly encourages you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) so that we may ensure that you benefit from every possible financial aid resource available.
First-Time Freshman: Eligible students admitted to ASU for the fall semester immediately following high school graduation will be notified by ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services. If you believe you are eligible and do not receive notification, please contact Financial Aid and Scholarship Services at 855-278-5080 to request assistance.
Transfer and First-Time Claim Students: Eligible students who attend the U of A or NAU may be eligible to transfer their RHHE award to ASU under certain conditions (see question 13 below and the ASU RHHE transfer and claim request form for additional information). Eligible students who attend an institution other than U of A or NAU, may be eligible to claim their RHHE for the first time under certain conditions (see ASU RHHE transfer and claim request form for additional information). Students must complete the form, along with all of the supporting documentation by the published deadline.
The student's high school or high school district office is the first point of contact to assist with eligibility questions.
The scholarship can only be used for full-time enrollment during the Fall and Spring semesters. The award can only be used for undergraduate coursework.
Students enrolled in an ASU online major are eligible for this scholarship. Scholarship amounts will be equivalent to 25% of the online tuition for 12 credit hours, not including fees and will remain the same amount throughout your eight semesters of eligibility. If you change from an ASU online major to a major on an ASU campus or vice versa and met all New American University scholarship requirements, the scholarship value will be adjusted to the equivalent of the amount in your first year of eligibility.
The award value is 25% of the amount of base resident tuition in the student's first year. The scholarship does not apply to program fees or differential tuition surcharges.
Students must notify the Scholarship Office. After confirming the student's eligibility, the Scholarship Office will post the award to the student's account and generate any refund that is owed.
Students who have not started their third semester at UA or NAU may submit a transfer request form to the ASU Scholarship Office.
The priority deadline for processing the Regents High Honors Endorsement (RHHE) Scholarship Transfer and Claim Request is 30 days prior to the start of the semester. Requests should be submitted to the ASU Scholarship Office and include academic transcripts documenting the student is meeting the ASU renewal requirements (minimum cumulative 3.00 gpa and completion of a minimum of 15 credit hours/semester earned at their previous institution only). Please note: Once the student is at ASU, the student will need to maintain the renewal requirements at ASU, https://students.asu.edu/scholarships/renewal. If the request to transfer the award is approved, the value of the award is equal to the rate of ASU tuition in the student’s first year (immediately after high school) of eligibility.
