ASU wants to give you $5,000

There are no formal entry requirements. Each application will be judged on the basis of the individual student’s academic achievement, extracurricular pursuits and the quality of the applicant’s initial plan for the Discovery Fellowship.

If you don't yet have a fully formed idea of how you would use the Discovery Fellowship, we still encourage you to submit an idea. Your ideas can change during your academic experience to fit your evolving goals.

The Discovery Fellowship will be activated at the end of a student's sophomore year. At that point, Discovery Fellowship plans will be finalized with a faculty member or advisor within the student's academic discipline.

ASU again named #1 in the U.S. for innovation

We believe that our legacy as an innovative university is a direct result of our faculty and student innovators, and their big ideas.

In celebration of being named the #1 university in the U.S. for innovation, ahead of #2 Stanford and #3 MIT, for a third straight year, we are created the Discovery Fellows Program to invest in the changemaking ideas of our out-of-state students.
