Pima County Employees FAQs

To get started, you will need to download and complete the Pima County scholarship eligibility form.

After having your HR manager complete the form, please return it through the upload option on the same website. You will need to provide a new form every semester to maintain eligibility.

Both undergraduate and graduate courses offered at all of our campuses, including ASU Online, are eligible for this program.

The scholarship will be equal to 10% of base tuition.

To participate, you must 1) be an employee of the Pima County 2) remain in an approved ASU degree program 3) meet the minimum standards required by applicable ASU undergraduate or graduate policies and procedures, including continuous enrollment, maintaining satisfactory academic progress and earning your degree within the program’s maximum time limit for graduation.

Employees of Arizona State University or other state university system employees interested in an ASU degree program should explore the Qualified Tuition Reduction Program.

To remain eligible for the Program you must meet ASU’s Undergraduate and Graduate Policies and Procedures. You must also maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as measured by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services office.

Programs have different limitations and you should refer to your school/college to determine any graduation requirements.

Yes; all campuses and degree levels are eligible. Non-degree courses are not eligible.

Right now, the program is only for Pima County employees, not their family.

If your employment terminates while you are in the process of completing your degree, you will no longer be eligible for the Arizona Public Employee Scholarship. However, you may complete the semester using any scholarship that was awarded and disbursed prior to your employment ending. You will not be required to reimburse the tuition scholarship you received in previous semesters. You may also still continue your program of study at ASU without the government employee scholarship.
