U.S. Flag Displays

Downtown Phoenix campus: Student Veteran Club will place flags at Taylor Mall.

Polytechnic campus: Student volunteers will place flags in front of the Student Union.

West campus: Student Veteran Club will place flags in front of Fletcher Library.

Tempe campus: Student Veteran Club will place flags in front of W. P. Carey, Fulton Center, Memorial Union and Hayden Lawn.

Students will place signs and American flags on each campus in honor of our ASU veterans and all military veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Letter Writing Campaign on West campus

West campus, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Pow Wow Festival, Fletcher Lawn
Nov. 13 - 15, 11 a.m.– 1 p.m., Verde Dining Pavilion

Write a letter thanking a military member overseas for their service. Writing supplies will be provided. Organized by the Student Veterans Club and the Tillman Honors Scholars.

ASU Women's Basketball

Wells Fargo Arena, Tempe campus
2 p.m.

The ASU Women's Basketball team takes on Texas Tech. Don't miss the special halftime salute to veterans.

This Sun Devil women's basketball games is free of charge.

Tempe Veterans Day Parade

Starts at Gammage Auditorium, proceeds north on Mill Ave., concludes at Tempe Beach Park
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The City of Tempe will again honor veterans with its annual Veterans Parade. At the parade's conclusion, there will be a dedication of  Phase One of Tempe's Veterans Memorial at Tempe Town Lake.

Starts at Indian School Rd. and 7th Street, proceeds north on 7th Street, West on Camelback, north on Central Ave., concludes at Bethany Home Rd.
Parade begins at 11 a.m

Faculty/Staff Awareness Event: The Veteran's Journey – Transition through the University Environment

West campus, 9 – 10:30 a.m., La Sala Ballroom B
Downtown Phoenix campus, noon to 1:30 p.m., Walter Cronkite Building, 2nd Floor, First Amendment Forum

Active military and veteran students face unique adjustment issues as they transition from a structured military lifestyle to the university environment. Faculty and staff are invited to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities many military students face – including how to help them with transition issues and the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder – at this free workshop.

Salute to Service Football Game, ASU vs. Washington State (GOLD game)

Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe campus
Kickoff 1:00 p.m.

Join in the salute to our military men and women and enjoy high-energy Sun Devil football. Before the game there will be a Salute to Service Tailgate for student veterans and opportunities to be involved in the pre-game festivities on the field.

Veterans can receive up to four tickets at half off the regular price. Contact Aaron Mills at (480) 727-3526 or aaron.j.mills@asu.edu for tickets.

Salute to Service Tailgate will take place in conjunction with the Sun Devil Coalition “Devils on Mill".

We will meet for the tailgate off of 6th street and then, for the pre-game portion move to Sun Devil Stadium where veterans will have the opportunity to participate in the Spirit Tunnel tradition! (Reference the map below.)
