ASU Parents Association
awards of $4,000 each ($2,000 per semester) for the 2009 – 2010 academic year. Awards will be based on high
financial need, evidence of academic success, a strong commitment to community service and/or university
involvement, and achievement of personal and educational goals.
- Graduate with a baccalaureate degree in May 2010 or later
- Show evidence of community service and/or university involvement
Charles and Christine Michaels Scholarship
ASU Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the Charles and Christine Michaels Scholarship for the 2010 - 11 academic year. Charles and Christine are both graduates of Arizona State University. As graduates of Shadow Mountain & Arcadia High Schools, the Michaels would like to provide resources for graduates of the Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Tempe School Districts to continue their education at ASU.
- Be a graduate from a high school in the Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Tempe School Districts.
- Demonstrate the potential to continue with their college career by remaining in good standing with the University and maintain all scholarship criteria.
- Be open to a mentoring relationship with the Michaels.
- Participate in a group community service project with other Michaels’ scholars
- Project determined in collaboration with the Michaels and their scholars.
Robert P. Pangrazi President's Council Scholarship/Fellowship
- One award will be made to a graduate student and one undergraduate student.
- The graduate award is designed to support a research project. Must have at least one year before graduation.
- Recipient based on quality of proposed project, demonstrated excellence and involvement and project budget.
- The undergraduate award is to support a student who demonstrates excellence through their academic studies and involvement. Must have at least one year of study left before graduation.
National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to recognize outstanding academic performance in high school.
- Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) should be received by the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office by the December 1 priority date to be considered for this award.
Dean's Scholarship
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to recognize outstanding academic performance in high school.
- Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) should be received by the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office by the scholarship priority date to be considered for this award.
Ernest and Edna McFarland Scholarship
The Ernest and Edna McFarland Scholarship was established to provide scholarship support for ASU students.
Preference is given but not required for recipient to be working to pay his/her way through school.
McCune Endowment Scholarship
The McCune Endowment Scholarship was created to provide scholarship support for ASU students.
John and Edith Knodel Scholarship
- The John and Edith Knodel Scholarship was created to provide scholarship support for ASU students.
- Recipients of scholarship shall be undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program at ASU.
Alfred C. Knight Memorial Scholarship

The Alfred C. Knight Scholarship benefits students who are majoring in pure or applied Mathematics or Science.
Students must be majoring in Pure or Applied Mathematics or sciences.
Beth & Kay Kelley Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Kay Kelley to provide scholarship support for ASU students.
Preference is given to students whose families have more than one student currently enrolled in college or have younger siblings.
Charles Corbin President's Council Scholarship/Fellowship
The fellowship is to support a research project of a second year master's student and doctoral student. To be considered, submit the following to the Chair of the Exercise & Wellness department:
- a letter formally applying for the fellowship
- updated resume
- abstract of the proposed research
- proposed project budget (how will funds be used).
M. Iruh, Carrie & Leola Keck Memorial Scholarship/Fellowship
The M. Iruh, Carrie & and Leola Keck Memorial Scholarship/Fellowship was created to provide scholarship support for ASU students.
Students must complete 24 credit hours each academic year in which this award is received. Major or field of interest not designated.
Honeywell Retirees Club Scholarship
The Honeywell Retirees Club Scholarship was created to provide scholarship support to an active member (or a family member) of the Honeywell Retirees Club attending ASU.
The recipient must be a an active member or a family member of the Honeywell Retirees Club. Recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Rose Garreau American Indian Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Estate of Rose Garreau for Native American students attending ASU.
