National Achievement Finalist Scholarship
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to students who have earned nationwide recognition for their academic achievements.
- Student must be identified by the National Merit Corporation/CollegeBoard, based on PSAT performance as a National Achievement Scholar.
Leadership Scholarship Program
- Arizona high schools are asked to nominate a strong senior with excellent leadership abilities and the potential to make major contributions at the collegiate level.
- Nonresident students are eligible to apply if they are an active member of Key Club.
Grady & Kathryn Gammage Memorial Scholarship
A private scholarship in memory of Grady and Kathryn Gammage, the ninth President of ASU and his wife.
- National Merit Semifinalist and Finalists, National Achievement Semifinalists and Finalists, National Hispanic Finalists are eligible to apply.
Provost's Scholarship
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to recognize outstanding academic performance in high school.
- Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) should be received by the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office by the December 1 scholarship priority date to be considered for this award.
- Students eligible for this award must be graduating from an Arizona high school.
President's Scholarship
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to recognize outstanding academic performance in high school.
- Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) should be received by the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office by the December 1 scholarship priority date to be considered for this award.
- Students eligible for this award must be graduating from an Arizona high school.
Arizona Academic Decathlon Scholarship (Finalist and Top Score)
An institutional merit-based scholarship awarded to recognize outstanding academic performance in high school.
- All 2008/2009 regional competition finalists and top scorers.
- Current Arizona high school seniors must apply for admission to ASU by Dec. 1, 2008.
- Admissible to ASU and full-time enrollment at ASU beginning Fall 2009.
Arellano Scholarship for Survivor of Domestic Violence
- Be a survivor of domestic violence as documented by a letter of referral from a counselor or clergy.
- Demonstrate the potential to continue with their college career by remaining in good standing with the University and maintain all scholarship criteria.
Shirley G. Schmitz Foundation, INC.
This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- Recipients must have a high school degree or equivalent and must be enrolled in school during the school year for which the scholarship is awarded.
- Special attention is accorded to those with entrepreneurial goals as a part of their future.
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a need for supplemental financial assistance to meet these goals.
- Applicants may apply for the scholarship between March 1 and June 1. Applications received after June 1 will not be considered.
Sallie Mae Fund
John Babb Scholarship
The John Babb Scholarship provides eligible students with a one-time award of $500 towards the purchase of an Apple or Dell laptop.
This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- Student must be currently enrolled in classes at ASU.
- Student must have a current FAFSA on file with ASU, a completed financial aid file, and remaining need for additional financial assistance. If you do not have a FAFSA on file, you may apply at FAFSA's website.
- Student must purchase a recommended Apple or Dell laptop through ASU 1:1 Computing and submit the resulting receipt, along with the completed scholarship application, to the ASU 1:1 Technology Studio located in Computing Commons 105 on the Tempe campus.
Associated Highway Patrolmen of Arizona Scholarship
This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- The applicant's parent must have five years in the Association to qualify for the scholarship
- Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 23
Armstrong Family Foundation Scholars Program
- Be an incoming freshman, freshman or sophomore; an Arizona resident and an orphan, ward of the court, in foster care or qualified independent student under the age of 21 at the time of first award of this scholarship.
- Must be admitted to Arizona State University by the application deadline above and enrolled (or plan to enroll) as a full time freshman (24 credit hours per academic year) at ASU during the 2010‐11 academic year.
- Complete 40 hours of approved community service per academic year.
- Have a demonstrated financial need as determined by the student having filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid form and having the resulting "Student Aid Report" on file in the ASU Office of Student Financial Assistance. Preferred filing date - March 1, 2010.
American Muslim Women's Association
This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- A completed application
- Income/expense statements including other scholarships, loans and grants, etc.
- Documentation of community involvement and extracurricular activities
- Two or more letters of recommendation by counselors and/or teachers
- A copy of transcripts
American Indian Services (AIS) Scholarship
Native Americans are struggling to create new better prospects for their people. Since 1958, AIS has designed many valuable programs which assist them towards self-sufficiency and building better communities. Chief among these is providing scholarships for needy Native Americans to attend colleges and vocational schools. There are many bright young students from various tribes who qualify academically for a college education.
- Enrolled in a university, college, junior college or technical school
- Undergraduate student with no more than 150 semester credits or 210 quarter credits.
- One-Quarter (1/4) Northern-Native American Indian Blood.
