Glamour's 2009 Top Ten College Women
Glamour is pleased to invite students to apply to our 2010 Top 10 College Women Competition. This Competition recognizes the exceptional achievements and academic excellence female college juniors from across the United States and Canada. It's an ideal opportunity for talented students to be rewarded for their leadership roles on campus and in the greater community.

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund-Scholarship Fund for Women
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF)is an outreach program of the World Bank Family Network. The fund provides financial assistance to women from developing countries during their studies in the United States or Canada.

Fiesta Bowl Queen and Court Scholarship Program
The Queen and her Court serve as spokespersons for the Fiesta Bowl Festival of College Football representing the Board of Directors, Committee Members, volunteers, staff and sponsors.

Phoenix Women's Commission International Women's Day 2009-10 Scholarship
The Phoenix Women's Commission International Women's Day 2009-10 Scholarship is for re-entry women 25 years or older, earning their first bachelor's degree at the Downtown or Tempe campuses and who is a resident of Phoenix.

Soroptimist International of Phoenix
The Women's Opportunity Awards program is Soroptimist's major project. Through the program, clubs in 19 countries and territories assist women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Each year, more than $1 million is disbursed through cash awards at various levels of the organization.

Arizona Colleen and Rose of Tralee
Young women ages 18-27 years old by February 7, 2010 that have at least a little Irish ancestry may apply. The Colleen is a spokesperson for the Arizona Irish Community in area events and rides in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Phoenix. It's a great heritage competition with judging based on poise, personality, ability to communicate well, and talent. The Colleen wins a trip to Ireland and $1000 in scholarships.

ESA Foundation Computer and Video Game Scholarship Program
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) Foundation is pleased to announce the ESA Foundation Computer and Video Game Scholarship Program. The program is open for online applications from women or minority students who will be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study for the entire 2008-2009 academic year.

Jeanette Rankin Foundation
The Jeannette Rankin Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for, and awarding scholarships to, low-income women, ages 35 and older. Each scholarship recipient has a vision of how a college education will benefit herself, her family, and her community. Most recipients are in truly meager financial circumstances and may have other hardships or disabilities.
Additional Eligibility Criteria:
- A woman, age 35 or older.
- Enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited school.
- Pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree.
- Low-income according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Lower Living Standard.
SWE (Society of Women Engineers) Scholarships
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In fiscal year 2005, SWE disbursed more than 130 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $300,000.

This scholarship requires the following additional criteria/information:
- scholarships are only open to women
- must be enrolled in or accepted in a baccalaureate (or graduate) ABET/CSAB accredited engineering or computer science degree program
- Computer Science at the Tempe campus
- Aerospace Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Bioengineering at the Tempe campus
- Chemical Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Civil Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Computer Systems Engineering at the Tempe
- campus Electrical Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Industrial Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Materials Science and Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Mechanical Engineering at the Tempe campus
- Electronic(s) Engineering Technology at the Polytechnic campus
- Manufacturing Engineering Technology at the Polytechnic campus
- Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Polytechnic campus
- minimum GPA is 3.5/4.0 for freshman applicants and 3.0/4.0 for sophomore, junior, senior & graduate applicants
- no minimum GPA for first year reentry applicants
- must not currently be recipient of a renewable SWE Scholarship
- must be a full time student, except for reentry applicants
- must be a US citizen or permanent resident of the US
- must not be receiving full funding for education from another organization
- reentry scholarships are intended for students returning to school after at least two years out of school and have been out of the engineering workforce
P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education
This is a one-time only grant for women sponsored by a P.E.O. Chapter. The money is intended as a grant-in-aid for expenses such as tuition, books, transportation, or childcare, necessary to reach the applicant's educational goal.
Additional Eligibility Criteria:
This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- A woman is eligible to apply for a grant from the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education if she:
- is a citizen of the United States or Canada
- is sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter
- has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life
- is within 24 consecutive months of completing her educational goal
- not enrolled in a Ph.D., law degree, or medical doctorate degree program
- is studying in the U.S. or Canada
P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund
The P.E.O. Loan Fund, established in 1907, makes loans available to qualified women who are in need of financial assistance to complete their education.
Additional Eligibility Criteria:
This loan fund requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- must be within two years but not less than four months of completing their course of study
- must be a high school graduate
- must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada
- must be recommended by a local chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, based on the interview and application process
National Physical Science Consortium
The National Physical Science Consortium is a unique partnership between industry, government agencies and laboratories, and higher education. Established in 1987, the NPSC is headquartered in Los Angeles. The NPSC has one primary objective: Increase the number of qualified U.S.-citizen Ph.D.'s in the physical sciences and related engineering fields, emphasizing recruitment of a diverse applicant pool of women and historically underrepresented minorities.

This scholarship requires the following additional eligibility criteria/information:
- Applicants should be in one of the following categories:
- Be in your senior year with at least a 3.0/4.0 GPA
- Be in your first year of a graduate program pursuing a Ph.D.
- Be in a terminal master's program (your university offers no Ph.D. in your discipline).
- Be returning from the workforce with no more than a master's degree
- Be near the point of beginning your dissertation research.
- You should apply in the fall of the year before the year in which you expect to begin the fellowship. For example, if you plan to start graduate school in the fall of 2005, or begin your dissertation research in 2005, you should apply in the fall of 2004.
American Muslim Women's Association
The American Muslim Women's Association is a non-profit private charitable organization committed to improving the economic status of women from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. AMWA-AZ is pleased to announce several scholarships for fall 2009, which will be renewed for the spring 2009 (depending upon satisfactory academic performance). These scholarships, which are offered in any field of study, have been established to recognize the academic achievements of full time female undergraduate students at Maricopa Community Colleges and ASU.

- A completed application
- Income/expense statements including other scholarships, loans and grants, etc.
- Documentation of community involvement and extracurricular activities
- Two or more letters of recommendation by counselors and/or teachers
- A copy of transcripts
