Tuition and Billing Payment Options
Payment Options:
Online
To pay online log on to My ASU and select Finances in the Quick Links box on the left, then select the amount "You Owe", and finally select "Make a Payment/QuikPAY". You can submit payment up to the amount owed on your account. Payments are not accepted over the phone.
- eChecks: eChecks are ASU's preferred payment method and are accepted online with no service charge. eChecks are a fast and simple payment method that can be made from regular U.S. checking and savings accounts. You will need your bank's routing number and your account number, which is available on the bottom of your check or from your financial institution. Read the eCheck FAQs for additional information.
- Credit/Debit Cards: ASU does not directly accept credit or debit card payments for tuition and student account charges, but has arranged for a third-party processor to accept MasterCard, Discover, and American Express payments online through QuikPAY. The processor charges a 2.75% service charge for credit and debit card payments. Tuition and student account credit/debit card payments are only accepted online and are not accepted by mail, over the phone, or in person. (Major credit cards are accepted without a service charge at the ASU Bookstore, Intercollegiate Athletics Ticket Office, SunCard Office, and other ASU departments.) Read the Credit Card FAQs for additional information.
- Authorized Payers: Students can authorize others, e.g. parents and spouses, to view and pay their ASU Student account through QuikPAY. To grant access to parents, spouses, and other authorized payers students need the payer's email address. For more information see Authorized Payers. Authorized Payers can log on directly to QuikPAY to view billing statements and make payments.

For students with accepted financial aid not sufficient to cover tuition charges need to pay the balance by the payment deadline, after which students with unpaid tuition charges in excess of pending aid will be automatically enrolled in the tuition installment plan.
Student Account Refunds
Financial Aid and Tuition Refunds are applied to institutional charges first and remaining funds are then refunded to the student. Direct Deposit to your bank account is available and the most convenient way to receive student account refunds.
Student Account Refunds by Direct Deposit: To enroll in direct deposit log on to My ASU and select Finances in the Quick Links box on the left, then select Direct Deposit Enrollment. View the Direct Deposit FAQs to learn about enrollment online and Direct Deposit in general. If you choose to enroll in direct deposit in person, please complete the Direct Deposit Authorization form and bring it to the Student Accounts office.
Prepaid or College Savings Plans
Prepaid or College Savings Plan payments made payable to Arizona State University are generally accepted. Mail checks to Cashiering Services, Arizona State University, PO Box 870303, Tempe, AZ 85287-0303 and include the student’s ASU ID number. Prepaid or College Savings Plan payments should be mailed at least two weeks prior to the applicable tuition due date to avoid automatic enrollment in the tuition installment plan and assessment of the nonrefundable installment plan fee. Notification to Arizona State University of pending payments by the Prepaid or College Savings Plan does not exempt a student from automatic enrollment in the tuition installment plan and the assessment of the nonrefundable installment plan fee.
