Monitor Your Financial Aid Status and Submit Requested Documents

If we select you for verification, you will be sent a letter from ASU requesting additional documentation. For your convenience, when you sign in and view your financial aid, your To Do List will show any items we are requesting. Financial aid processing can only continue once you have completed your file so please submit any requested items promptly. New requests for information or documentation may arise throughout the year so it's a good idea to check your file frequently.

Not all students are selected for verification so please do not submit additional information unless requested by ASU. Because ASU participates in the Quality Assurance Program, ASU selects students for verification based on its own unique criteria, and not that of the U.S. Dept. of Education. If you have questions related to the completion of any of these requests, please contact Student Financial Assistance.

Sign in to check your student status as well. Changes in your student status (e.g. residency) may require adjustments to your awards, even mid-year.

What can affect your awards?

• Less than full-time enrollment
• Auditing a class
• Taking a correspondence course
• Receipt of an additional award (see our Overaward Policy)
• Residency change
• FAFSA corrections/updates
• Defaulting on a student loan
• Exceeding annual or aggregate student loan limits
• Owing a grant overpayment to the federal government
• SAP violations (see our SAP Policy)
