
Summer and winter sessions offer you a chance to advance toward your degree, catch up on degree requirements, or take courses for personal and professional development.
Summer Sessions: The summer sessions credit load limit is seven semester hours for each five-week session, nine semester hours for the eight-week session, and may not exceed a total of 14 semester hours for any combination of sessions. Overload petitions in excess of seven credit hours per summer session must be approved by the college of your major.

Undergraduate Students Who Wish to Study at ASU Only During Summer (Nondegree)
If you would like to take classes for personal development this summer, then you may submit an application for undergraduate admission as a nondegree student. Start now.
Fall 2008 New Undergraduate Student
If you are applying for the fall semester, you may indicate on the application for admission that you want to start as a non-degree student during the summer. No other forms need to be submitted.
If you have already submitted an application for the fall and would like to register for the summer, you must submit a separate application for undergraduate admission as a non-degree student.

Winter Session
ASU’s winter session is an intensive program offered between fall and spring semesters. You may earn up to three semester credit hours. Overload petitions in excess of three credit hours must be approved by the college of your major. (Law students are limited to a maximum of two credit hours.)
