Frederick J. Weber Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description ASU Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the Frederick J. Weber Memorial Scholarship for the 2010–11 academic year. Frederick Weber earned a B.S. in physics in 1967 at Arizona State University, and then earned an M.S. in electrical engineering in 1974 at the University of Texas in Austin. He worked as a biomedical engineer for the Department of Veteran Affairs from 1978 until his retirement in 1997. Fred was generous of spirit and believed the best investment one could make was to invest in people – have faith in them, give them a chance, and then be patient. Frederick Weber passed away in January 2002 after a long battle with cancer. His family and friends established this scholarship to honor his memory and spirit.
