Arizona State University offers many generous institutional merit-based scholarships to top Arizona students and encourages application for admission to Arizona State University by December 1, in order to be considered for these awards. Should students be selected for more than one institutional merit-based scholarship they will receive the scholarship of greater value. Please note that students may receive private donor scholarships in addition to the Regents High Honors Endorsement (AIMS) award.

The scholarship is fixed at the amount of tuition as set by the ABOR in the student’s first year. The award amount will remain the same throughout the maximum eight semesters of eligibility toward any undergraduate degree program.

Renewal criteria can be found on the scholarship description at http://students.asu.edu/node/211.

A FAFSA is not required in order to be considered for this scholarship. However, ASU highly encourages students to submit the FAFSA to be considered for other financial assistance. For more information visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.

The scholarship may be deferred one time. Please see the deferment policy and application at http://students.asu.edu/forms/scholarship.

The Arizona Department of Education will provide a list of recipients to ASU by July 31.

The student's high school or high school district office is the first point of contact to assist with eligibility questions.

The scholarship can only be used for full-time enrollment during the Fall and Spring semesters. The award can only be used for undergraduate coursework.

The award value is the amount of base resident tuition in the student's first year. The scholarship does not apply to program fees or differential tuition surcharges.

Students must notify the Scholarship Office. After confirming the student's eligibility, the Scholarship Office will post the award to the student's account and generate any refund that is owed.

Students who have not started their third semester at UofA or NAU may submit a written request no later than a month prior to the term they plan to enroll at ASU. Requests should be submitted to the ASU Scholarship Office and include academic transcripts documenting the student is meeting the ASU renewal requirements. Please note: Once the student is at ASU, the student will need to maintain the renewal requirements at ASU http://students.asu.edu/node/211. If the request to transfer the award is approved, the value of the award is equal to the rate of ASU tuition in the student’s first year (immediately after high school) of eligibility.
