How do I apply for financial aid?

Complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. See File Your FAFSA for more info.

Is my financial aid file complete?

Sign in to see if there are documents that need to be completed.

Note: if your financial aid file is not complete, and you do not have awards offered, you will automatically be enrolled in the Tuition Installment Plan. Tuition charges will be billed on your Student Account in three installments and a nonrefundable $75 enrollment fee will be assessed.

How can I get the financial aid form you need me to complete?

Download the form from our online forms page. If you are dropping forms off, there is a drop box located on the 2nd floor of the Student Services building (SSV) of the Tempe campus or you can fax it to us at (480) 965-9484. You can also visit one of our other campus locations.

How do I sign up for the Tuition Installment Plan?

Sign in and view your financial information or visit the Tuition Payment office to sign up.

How do I complete the MPN and Entrance Counseling?

Can you cancel my Federal PLUS loan and give me more money?

If your parents applied for the PLUS loan and were denied, please visit us to discuss your options. If your parents do not want the PLUS loan altogether, you may apply for alternative student loans.

I applied for an alternative loan, how long is it going to take to process?

2 - 4 weeks from the date our office receives your application.

What do I need to do if my circumstances change, like loss of income?

Complete a Student and/or Parent Review form, whichever is applicable. These forms can be downloaded from our online forms page.

When is disbursement?

Financial aid disbursement for the fall and spring semesters begins on the Wednesday before classes begin. Funds usually disburse no sooner than a few days before the start of the semester. Refunds will be issued by check (sent to address on record) or direct deposit.

If I receive financial aid, will it pay for my dorm room?

No, you need to advise Residential Life that you want to pay for your housing with financial aid. Residential Life is located on the 1st floor of the Student Services Building on the Tempe campus.
