Q. What is the purpose of the chapel and what can it be used/reserved for?
A. The chapel is a non-denominational space that can be used for individual or group prayer or meditation, for the campus community to use to seek spirituality, and for special events such as weddings, memorial services, religious services, and meetings.
Q. How many people does the chapel hold?
A. The chapel holds approximately 60 people and is equipped with banquet chairs rather than church pews.
Q. Are ministers provided for weddings or memorial services?
A. Patrons are responsible for securing their own ministers for events; however, a list of campus ministers from a variety of faiths is available.
Q. How long can I reserve the chapel?
A. The chapel can be reserved for as many hours as needed and includes one free hour the preceding day for wedding rehearsals if needed depending on availability. The chapel can also be reserved for a specific time throughout the semester basis depending on availability.
Q. Does the chapel have any musical equipment?
A. The chapel is equipped with both a piano and an organ; however, musicians are not provided.
Q. Are regular religious services held at the chapel?
A. Yes. There are many faith-based groups that utilize the chapel for their daily or weekly religious services. You can find a current schedule of all religious services and events posted in the kiosk in front of the chapel.
