How to Make an Appointment

Students may schedule an initial appointment by either visiting or calling C&C at 480.965.6146. C&C prioritizes immediate access to services to ensure that all students who request or need services can be seen within the same day.  At the first appointment a C&C counselor will meet briefly with the student to determine the type of services that would best serve the student's needs.  This may include services at C&C, connection to additional resources at ASU, and/or referral to community resources.

Confidentiality

Counseling at C&C is confidential and is most effective when a student can be direct and honest with a counselor without fear that personal information will be shared. C&C does not release information about a student without that student's written permission, except in the cases of imminent danger to self or others, child/dependent abuse, court order, or where otherwise required by law. Notations of counseling are not part of a student's university records.

Fees

Initial appointments with a counselor at C&C are provided at no cost. There are fees for additional assessment, individual and group counseling sessions, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management appointments.

Outreach and Consultation

C&C offers educational presentations on mental health topics (such as How to Identify a Student in Distress) to faculty, Residential Life staff, tutors, advisors, and other ASU staff who work closely with students so that they may assist students in obtaining counseling services when needed. C&C staff provide presentations for students focused on wellness topics to aid in maintaining healthy lifestyles.

C&C offers professional consultation services to ASU departments and organizations. We will collaborate with you to identify problems and solutions to mental health issues.
