1. What is Sun Devil CareerLink?

Sun Devil CareerLink is ASU's Web-based system that you can use to search for internships and full-time jobs, post your resume, participate in on-campus recruiting, and review upcoming career events.

2. How do I upload/change resumes?

First, you create your resume, preferably using MS Word. Then, log on to Sun Devil CareerLink and click on My Resumes at the top of the page. Follow the prompts. You can upload up to 10 documents, but you must select one resume as your default resume.

3. Where do I find jobs and internships?

Loc in to Sun Devil CareerLink, click on the Jobs, Internships & Interviews link at the top of the page, then click on the Show Me drop-down box and select Current Jobs and Upcoming On-Campus Interviews.

4. What is a Job Search Agent?

A Job Search Agent monitors jobs and internships as they are posted to Sun Devil CareerLink, and the agent sends you an e-mail when there is a match to your criteria. You can create multiple Search Agents and give each its own name.

5. How do I create a Job Search Agent?

Log in to Sun Devil CareerLink and click on Jobs, Internships & Interviews. Select the Advanced Search tab. Choose the criteria that the Search Agent will be based on, then type a Search Agent title in the Save As field. Click the checkbos to save it, then click the Submit button.

All Search Agents will be saved, and you can schedule the search to send e-mails with new jobs by automatically clicking the Schedule button in the Search Agents tab.

6. Where do I see who is coming on campus to recruit?

Log in to Sun Devil CareerLink and select Jobs, Internships & Interviews. From the Shoe Me drop-down box, select Upcoming On-campus Interviews and hit the Search button. (To narrow your search further, enter your preferred criteria before selecting the Search button.) Select the Job Title for the employer you're interested in, then from the Application Status box select and submit your desired resume.

To withdraw or change your application prior to the submit deadline, select My Interviews, Interview Requests, then Withdraw Application. You can always check the status of your interview request by navigating to the alerts section of the Sun Devil CareerLink main page or by following the link to My Interviews.

7. How do I schedule, reschedule or cancel an interview?

To schedule an interview, access the Interview Requests tab from within My Interviews. Click on the Schedule Interview button. Select an interview time on the date you desire, then click on Submit.

To reschedule or cancel an interview, access the Scheduled Interviews tab from within My Interviews, then click on either the Reschedule or Cancel button.

8. How do I know if I have been pre-selected by an employer for an interview?

Once you've applied for a pre-selection interview, check the Interview Requests tab from within My Interviews on a regular basis. Prior to the employer selection deadline, you should see your status as pending. After the employer pre-selection deadline, your status will change to either "invited" or "not invited." If you're invited, then you may either schedule or decline an interview.

9. What happens if I can't make an interview?

Cancellations and no-shows are taken very seriously. If you cannot make your interview, promptly notify Career Services. Cancellations must be made at least two working days prior to the interview day. If you fail to show or do not cancel at least two days prior to your interview date, you will lose your access to Sun Devil CareerLink and will need to bring a copy of your letter of explanation (that you send to the employer) to a Walk-in Advisor pending reinstatement. If you have a second no-show, you will be required to meet with the Associate Director of Career Services to discuss possible reinstatement.

10. What does it mean if my Interview Status shows me as an "Alternate" for an on-campus interview?

If your status shows as Alternate, you will be able to schedule an interview during the signup date range, provided that space is still available.
