What is the Canon Leadership Residential Community

The Canon Leadership Residential Community is a unique component of ASU’s university-wide Canon Leadership Program (CLP) available to talented and motivated Sun Devils.  This unique tailored residential experience will place you along with 40 other first-year students in a leadership living experience within Adelphi II Residence Hall.

There are two components to the program:

o        Leadership training & awareness from nationally recognized leadership experts

o        Student driven projects within a small workgroup setting facilitated by an ASU faculty, staff, or CLP third year student.

Leadership Training by National Experts

Each month you will engage and learn from national experts in the areas of individual and organizational leadership.  These conversations and leadership modules will explore your own personal leadership style and introduce you to ASU opportunities for involvement.

Student Driven Projects

As a participant in the Canon Leadership Residential Community, you will select from four workgroups to create and implement programming for the benefit of your peers and fellow leaders within the hall.  These small workgroups will provide practical leadership skill training.  The workgroup options include:

Looks of Leadership - identifying and creating spaces within the facility as galleries that use images and/or symbols to convey leadership.

Sounds of Leadership orchestrating various methods using sound through recordings and/or performances that represent leadership

Leadership Learning - Student Led, small group dialogue circles around popular topics or current events with leadership and ethics implications

Leadership Rethought - Case Studies and post-historical reflections on leaders, their decisions and impact of those decisions.

We hope you will become a part of this exciting, one-of-a-kind leadership themed residential living community!
